Allyson Tomchin, LCSW
Owner and Founder of Therapyhead®

Allyson Tomchin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, public speaker, and author. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida in 1992 and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Barry University in 1993.

Before launching her private practice, Allyson spent 10 years working in Social Services, specializing in Substance Abuse and Gang Prevention, providing critical support to people in need. She has been in private practice as a Licensed Psychotherapist for 22 years, working with adolescents through adults. For 17 of those years, she focused on the field of High Conflict Divorce within Family Law.

Throughout her 30-year career, Allyson has reached audiences far beyond the therapy room through her speaking engagements on stress, anxiety, and overcoming life’s challenges. She is also a past Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.

Allyson has been on the street, in the courtroom, in the classroom, and on countless stages as a public speaker. She has delivered a TEDx talk, launched a YouTube talk show, contributed to South Florida Parenting Magazine, and was named one of the 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County.

She has worked with thousands of people across the public and private sectors and has trained judges, attorneys, and mental health professionals in mediation and co-parenting. Allyson has served on the board for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and on The Florida Bar Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee I. She is also a trained Collaborative Law Neutral Facilitator and a member of the Broward Matrimonial Lawyers Association.

Currently, Allyson continues to work in private practice while speaking to college groups and organizations about overcoming and adapting to life’s challenges. She remains laser-focused on helping others find success — and she makes it fun along the way.

Her favorite thing to do? Speaking to large audiences and helping them overcome whatever’s roaring at them in life.
